Distinctions... |
When you are exposed to the kind of constant scrutiny we are, you would understand how essential credibility, achievement and distinction becomes. Having acted in an anti-corruption capacity more times that we care to repeat, we are constantly exposed to assaults on our credibility. A fear of us exposing them has driven numerous entities (private and official) to oppose, resist and persecute us, and even to threaten our lives. |
To this end, we have survived more allegations than should have been leveled against any individual entity. But, we did survive… Not because we offered a good argument, obscured facts, won court-cases or manipulated any individuals, but because we have repeatedly established our independence, integrity and honesty through our actions, associations and contributions. And we still continue to do so – even today. |
Through the years, we have contributed to numerous community projects, processes and events. Our contribution to the development of the at-scene accident investigation model used by the Road Accident Fund is enjoying attention even now, while we believe that Project LUFT will return to be applied nationally in the future. Yet – resistance exists. |
Our contribution to the needs of our communities was further accentuated when we assisted the heavily over-taxed Medical Emergency Rescue Organization (METRO) Ambulance Service with their shortage of ambulances in the Eastern Cape. Through a project conceived and initiated by Stan Bezuidenhout, we were able to secure sponsorship for an ambulance by Good Year South Africa. This project still continues, under the management of METRO… |
Our contribution was further confirmed when we formed a community special task team for the eradication of vandalism against schools in the poorer communities we serve to assist. By talking to the communities, we motivated them to help themselves. This project is still running even today. We have established ourselves in the eyes of our communities, our clients, and – most notably – the eyes of the Government of South Africa. This is all the confirmation and acceptance we need… |
